Why Choose Aluminum Cladding for Your Home Remodel?

FrontLine Aluminum Door Frame Cladding: Resisting the Forces of Nature™

Stop fighting the losing battle against wood rot. Wood frames begin to fail the moment they are exposed to the elements, wicking moisture and warping with the seasons. Frontline Cladding offers a final fix for your remodel. Our heavy-duty aluminum provides a maintenance-free finish that eliminates the need for future repairs, keeping your ‘new’ look locked in permanently.

No Maintenance

You’ve already seen how wood performs over time: the peeling paint, the constant maintenance, and the worry of hidden rot. Replacing your old frames with wood just restarts that countdown to the next repair. By choosing Frontline Cladding for your remodel, you are making a one-time investment that ends the cycle of scraping and painting forever. It’s not just a repair—it’s the final solution your entryway deserves.

Concealed Fasteners

Transform your existing entryway without the DIY look of visible nails. While traditional wood or composite replacements rely on face-nailing and messy caulk plugs to hide the damage, Frontline’s remodel cladding features a sophisticated interlocking design with concealed fasteners, providing a smooth, uninterrupted finish that looks like a factory-installed custom door rather than a repair job.

Impermeable to Moisture

If your current door frames feel soft or look weathered, they are likely acting like sponges, wicking rain and humidity directly into your home’s structure. Replacing wood with more wood only resets the clock on rot. Frontline’s extruded aluminum cladding is completely impermeable—it won’t swell, warp, or absorb a drop of moisture. By encasing your existing frames, you stop ‘hidden rot’ in its tracks and provide your home with a dry, durable shield that standard paint simply cannot offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

If the wood frame is structurally sound but has surface-level weathering or minor soft spots, our cladding is the perfect solution to stop further deterioration. However, if the wood is severely rotted and can no longer hold a fastener, we recommend repairing/replacing the structure before installing the Frontline aluminum cladding.

There is a massive difference. Standard “wrap” or “coil stock” is paper-thin aluminum (often .019″) that is bent on-site; it’s prone to denting, “oil-canning” (rippling), and requires visible face-nails. Frontline Cladding is heavy-duty .062” extruded aluminum. It is rigid, architecturally crisp, and uses a patented interlocking system with concealed fasteners for a factory-finished look.

No. Our remodel kits are specifically engineered to be installed while the door remains in place. This saves you significant time and labor costs, allowing you to upgrade your entryway’s aesthetics and protection without a full-scale demolition.

Unlike house paint, which sits on the surface of the wood, our aluminum is finished with high-performance AAMA 2604/2605 coatings. These are commercial-grade finishes designed to resist UV chalking and fading for decades. You can officially cross “painting the door frame” off your to-do list forever.

Yes. We offer 13 standard architectural colors designed to coordinate perfectly with the most popular window and door manufacturers in the industry. We also offer AlumiGrain™, which you can stain to match wood finishes.

Not at all. Because our aluminum is non-porous and impermeable, dirt and environmental grime don’t “soak in” like they do with wood. A simple rinse with a garden hose or a wipe with a damp cloth is usually all it takes to keep it looking brand new.
